Reflection
Written Reflection

First and foremost, I'd like to separate the feedback I've gotten from audience members and professors who have viewed my recital into two categories which are the video production and my viola performance. For the media, in comparison to my previous work, everyone agrees that this year's content is not only concise but also easy to understand. Audiences can concentrate from the beginning to the end of the performance, even though it has a long duration.

Here comes my viola performance. Overall, the viewer said that this year's performance is better than the previous year's. Even though there is a time constraint, the performance can be completed at a satisfactory level. They see my improvement in my ability to perform; even if I made a few blunders throughout the show, I was still able to continue, I carried on to the end of the piece. I personally think that I need to improve my facial expression when I make mistakes. To clarify, I should not grin or shake my head when I make a mistake since the audience will notice.
In terms of the comments I provided myself in the production part, I can confidently say that I'm rather pleased with myself because I prepared far better than I did in the previous year. At this point, the work is more organized and simple than my junior recital. I'm glad that I was able to have a good video editor to help me with the editing process. With his assistance, I was able to save my time and effort. Besides, he also made the video more continuous and easier for audiences to concentrate.

For the performance, I'm not entirely satisfied because I was able to practice with my pianist only for an hour before the real recording. However, I felt like I had given it my all, so I didn't feel bad about it afterward. At the very least, my abilities had improved. Of course, there are still certain things that can be improved such as my facial expressions and playing capabilities.

If I have another opportunity to work with it again, I'd say that I want to manage an additional space for the English Subtitle in the production area. To exemplify, we can't see all of the details in some pictures because they are obscured by the captions. I would be more aware of my facial expressions and the song's finale in terms of acting. I have to keep reminding myself not to smile. And before laying my hand down and turning to the audience at the end of the song, I should mentally count one to five.

How can I adapt my approaches in presenting the concert? And how would I prepare for it if it happens again? Personally, I don't think that COVID-19 situation has had much of an impact on my project, the Classical Music with Alto, because my intention was to create this project as an online educational tool. However, the occurrence gave me confidence that E-Learning would play a significant part in the educational system in the future. Nonetheless, if a scenario like this arises again, I'll need to be ready to deal with the artists who perform with me on a regular basis. Furthermore, I should learn a little more about home recording because it is an essential skill for 21st-century musicians.

Lastly, I would suggest to other people from my past experiences that planning is an essential skill in real-life working. Allow yourself to make mistakes, be kind to yourself, accept that we have done our best, and let it go. It is important to look after our mind and attitude after we finish our performance. It is true that post-concert self-reflection is very important, but we need to make sure that we are not over-criticizing ourselves too much.
Projection for Future Development

What I might want to explore further in my next project is about introducing new music subjects and themes to the general audience in order to help them comprehend classical music better. I also want to distribute classical music experiences from a different point of view that is not just recounting its history. For example, a simplified explanation of music theory. In addition, I will surely find additional collaborators to help me develop the up-coming project quicker, larger, and better.

Exploring new possibilities in presenting music, on the bright side, is an opportunity to broaden my horizons and push myself to accomplish things I've never done before. I abandoned conventional classical music performance rules, such as performing live music in a concert hall. Working with this project also helped me to experience real-world fieldwork and problem-based-learning in a new approach for reaching out to audiences with my music.

Furthermore, continuing this project might be able to assist me in determining the path of my future career. In the future, I hope that this project could be my primary occupation. Furthermore, I am honored to be a part of the creation of priceless opportunities and an E-learning system that can introduce others to know and to enjoy classical music on a deeper level.
